Jeep built a Wrangler with three rows of seating specifically for the SEMA show

  • The third row of seats has been added to this Jeep Wrangler Overlook concept vehicle for SEMA.
  • A foot longer and five inches higher in the roof than a standard Wrangler four-door, it has a longer wheelbase.
  • Other Jeep accessories, such as upgraded shocks and a more luxurious leather interior, are available on the Overlook as well.

Jeep is taking a page out of the Land Rover Defender's book by developing a special stretched version of the Wrangler that includes an additional row of seats and a stepped roofline, similar to the Defender. The Wrangler Overlook is the name of this concept, which will be unveiled at the SEMA aftermarket show in Las Vegas the following week.

Designed to look like a four-door Jeep Sahara, the Overlook has a body that has been lengthened by a foot and a raised roof at the rear that is five inches higher than the standard roof. This leaves enough space for a third row of seats to be added. The roof extension also includes additional windows that allow passengers in the second and third rows to see the outside world, while the roof remains removable and a flip-up sunroof is located above the front seats.

The interior is finished in black Katzkin leather with bronze accents, while embroidered Jeep logos, a leather-wrapped dashboard, and suede trim add a touch of sophistication to the overall look. The Overlook's exterior is finished in Sahara Bronze, and it comes equipped with a two-inch lift kit and fox shocks for improved handling. Special 20-inch wheels are wrapped in 37-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires, and there are additional off-road lights mounted up front to supplement the standard equipment.

Despite the fact that we do not expect Jeep to put this one-off vehicle into production anytime soon, we believe there would be a market for a three-row Wrangler if the company decided to build one. So, only time will tell whether this is merely a wacky concept or something that could actually materialize in the near future.
