Apple expected to announce new iPad Pro with M2 "in days"

Apple is expected to announce two new iPad Pro tablets with the M2 chip "in a matter of days", Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said in his latest newsletter. According to reporters, the 11" and 12.9" devices will be mild upgrades and could have new charging capabilities.

The expectation is that the iPad Pro will arrive before October 27, which is the date for Apple to announce its quarterly and annual earnings. However, no events are planned for the launch - the tablet will be announced with a press release on the company's website.

The new iPad Pro could bring MagSafe charging capabilities and Gurman even suggested we could look at reverse wireless charging, allowing the tablet to share battery with iPhone cases or AirPods. We'll also see the launch of iPadOS 16 - a software update that is usually released alongside iOS, but was delayed this year.

According to Gurman, the stock shortage for the Apple Watch Ultra is due to the band, not the device itself. The yellow or blue Trail Circles are very hard to find, as are the orange Alpine circles. This is currently pushing Watch Ultra shipments into the first week of November, with some models arriving later.
